Ripple is a community revitalization nonprofit based in Fairfield, Iowa. We use music, art, learning, food, events, and community partnerships to help small towns grow stronger from the inside out.
Our work begins here in Fairfield, but the ripple effect reaches beyond one venue or event series. It reaches young people looking for opportunities, local businesses that benefit from increased activity, artists seeking real audiences, schools and nonprofits that need places to gather, and visitors who are ready to discover what makes a small community special.
A concert is not just a concert. A meal is not just a meal. A classroom is not just a classroom. An event is not just a night on the calendar.
These are the places where community is created.
When neighbors have reasons to gather, listen, learn, eat, create, volunteer, and belong, something shifts. Local pride gets stronger. Young people see more possibilities. Visitors have a reason to come. Businesses feel more activity. The community starts to feel more alive.

From the first ever Iowa State Fair in the late 1800s to the arrival of Maharishi University in 1974, Fairfield has developed a distinctive culture shaped by education, creativity, entrepreneurship, wellness, local food, and people willing to try something new.
Ripple builds from that foundation.
We are helping create a consistent center of activity where residents, students, artists, visitors, schools, businesses, and nonprofits can intersect—and where culture becomes part of Fairfield’s long-term strength.
Ripple is building partnerships with schools, nonprofits, artists, civic organizations, local businesses, and national organizations that want to bring meaningful programming to Fairfield.
